Root HTC Desire XC. Today's flashtooldownload will share to you about how to perform root on android smartphone. Now I will explain how to root on HTC Desire XC. On this Guide, is root HTC Desire XC that using Android Jelly Bean update as it's operating system. Before we continued our experiment I will explain to you what is the meaning of root on android, Rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as root access) over various Android's subsystems. One thing that should you know that rooting on your HTC Desire XC may cause loss of warranty. You are only responsible for any further losses and damages caused to device. Something that should you know before rooting on HTC Desire XC, Although root process does not erase the data stored on the internal memory but I advise you to backup your important data first before proceeding to avoid things that are not desirable.

Keep your battery charged enough power in the process of root, at least you can set up approximately 70% of the power that are stored in the battery. Then you can follow this guide :

  1. Make sure your device model is HTC Desire XC
  2. First step that you need is download and install ADB or fastboot here.
  3. Download TWRP Recovery and SuperSU
  4. Then unlock your bootloader, see this guide for step by step instruction.
  5. Then download and install USB Driver that fit for your HTC Desire XC Here.
  6. Connect your HTC Desire XC to your PC, 
  7. Enable USB Debugging your  HTC Desire XC. see This Guide
  8. Download and install Android SDK

Install Jelly Bean Compatible Custom Recovery.

Jelly Bean Custom Recovery is essential to flash ROMs and other Mods, Also you can take Nandroid backup of your HTC Desire X with a Custom Recovery installed. You can either use the One Click option in WinDroid to install the Custom Recovery or follow this manual method.
  1. First step that should you do is download HBOOT Jelly Bean Compatible Custom Recover
  2. Once you download it, put it in C Drive you need to connect your HTC Mobile to PC and Install HTC JB Drivers
  3. Next, Open your android SDK, if you don't have it. download here.
  4. Go to the \sdk\platform-tools folder
  5. If you use Windows 7, Keep the Shift Key pressed + Right click on an empty place in the platform-tools folder > Open Command Window here.
  6. Then type : 
    • adb devices
  7. Then :
    • adb reboot bootloader
  8. Once you bootoader, next type :
    • fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img
  9. Follow by :
    • fastboot reboot-bootloader
  10. And
    • fastboot erase cache
  11. Now you have installed your custom recovery. Now Reboot your Phone.

Install SuperUser and BusyBox

  1. Then you Copy and paste the SuperSU-v.02.zip file to your SD card, making sure the file goes to SD card and not to another folder
  2. Turn Off Your HTC Desire XC and disconnect from USB cable
  3. Next step is Boot your HTC Desire XC into recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down and Power keys at the same time. 
  4. Then, Extract files from Recovery.rar in one location and simply click on recovery.bat. Press Enter and It will start pushing TWRP to your device and within few seconds it will show as finished.
  5. Then Activate your windows command prompt, by press and hold windows logo + R, then you type cmd.exe.

  6. Type this command : fastboot flash recovery TWRP_Recovery.img  then press enter on your keyboard.
  7. Disconnect phone and using volume keys select recovery option and reboot to recovery 
  8. Using the volume keys, go to the SuperSU-v2.02.zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Confirm installation on next screen.
  9. When the installation is complete, go to main recovery menu and reboot phone by selecting "reboot system now".

  10. After your HTC One (E8) reboots, you should see the SuperSU app in your apps list, confirming that you now have root access on your device.
  11. To check and ensure that you have done root process, you can download root checker at google play store
You’ve successfully rooted your Android HTC Desire XC device and you should now be able to see the SuperSU app in your App Drawer!
